Theme Weekend
What?
This is a weekend dedicated to discussing a current issue in SAGGA, Scouting or Guiding.
When and where?
Usually in October, held in a leader-training centre.
Who for?
It's for anyone with an interest in the topic being discussed.
Why come along?
It's an opportunity to evaluate current practice and contribute new ideas to the Movements
Theme weekends have been innovative and have had useful outcomes. For instance, the Theme Weekend one year resulted in the creation of a database to analyse accidents within Scouting and Guiding.
There is an intellectual approach in an informal, friendly environment.
The theme each year is suggested by members and has covered topics as diverse as special needs, campfires and God in the Movement.
