Theme Weekend

Theme Weekend

What?

This is a weekend dedicated to discussing a current issue in SAGGA, Scouting or Guiding.

When and where?

Usually in October, held in a leader-training centre.

Who for?

It's for anyone with an interest in the topic being discussed.

Why come along?

•  It's an opportunity to evaluate current practice and contribute new ideas to the Movements

•  Theme weekends have been innovative and have had useful outcomes. For instance, the Theme Weekend one year resulted in the creation of a database to analyse accidents within Scouting and Guiding.

•  There is an intellectual approach in an informal, friendly environment.

•  The theme each year is suggested by members and has covered topics as diverse as special needs, campfires and God in the Movement.
