The Eighties
More time was spent in the Eighties with SAGGA's members supporting local
Districts in their events and running 'Science Camps'. The decade opened
with SAGGA providing the out-crew for the Crediton International Jamboree,
while their children formed the only mixed Scout and Guide unit at the
event. SAGGA camps continued to take on increasingly substantial projects - an
expertise for toilet blocks became clichéd - while camp became international
with site-work undertaken in Holland and Denmark.
Summer Camps
SAGGA had the following Summer Camps in the 1980s.
